Columns Work Training

The training is 16 sessions (one hour each) that take you through the columns system, including why it works, how to understand each column and its application, and also takes you through some experiential exercises to make it more concrete, solidify your understanding, and give a greater sense of how your patients will experience it.

The whole set up is to give you all of the information and confidence in the work that you need so you can take the system and run with it creatively. I encourage everyone that it is a set of skills that can be folded into your own way of working, rather than a systematized thing that you have to squeeze into and I help people think through how best to do that given how they work. Here is the syllabus for it as well:

  • Week 1 How to position yourself with clients in the mind body columns work
  • Week 2 The overarching columns structure and how it organizes and guides the work
  • Week 3 The first session conversation, the structure you choose, and how to interface
  • Week 4 The Emotions Column; what to cover, how to discuss it, and what to do
  • Week 5 The Doubt Column; what to cover, how to discuss it, and what to do
  • Week 6 The Power Column; what to cover, how to discuss it, and what to do
  • Week 7 The Experiential Emotions Column; building out themes
  • Week 8 The Experiential Doubt Column; How to observe, articulate, and counter doubts
  • Week 9 The Experiential Power Column; Developing the core narrative
  • Week 10 The Experiential Power Column 2; Assessing your power status with self, others, and symptoms
  • Week 11 An introduction to action steps — what will we do about the problems identified in each column?
  • Week 12 Choosing action steps; building their system within the system
  • Week 13 Experiential Action Steps
  • Week 14 Troubleshooting
  • Week 15 What the Sufferer Can Expect After the Consultation and What to Expect in Working With Them
  • Week 16 Developing your own style and confidence in the work

Each session is $200 per person. I usually have many referrals to give, which should make the training end up paying for itself quite well. Let me know if you need any more information it all.

I also offer an ongoing supervision hour each month to support the work so you can maximize what you can do.

I schedule around the people who join so we’ll find a convenient time for you. Thanks!

Warmly,
Dan
